Landscape Design

List of services below normally align with RIBA Stages 1-3 or concept design and project coordination through to a planning application.

  • Briefing, site analysis and feasibility reports.

  • Review and consideration of tree, ecology and other surveys and recommendations.

  • Concept & sketch designs.

  • Design development.

  • Coordination with architects, engineers, lighting designers, artists and other project members.

  • Planning advice, planning documents for approval including Design & Access Statements.

  • Attendance at local authority pre-application meetings and presentations.

  • Attendance and presentations at design review panels.

  • Planting strategies, plans, schedules.

  • Landscape contractor sourcing and interviews.

  • Site supervision and planting (if small scale).

RIBA stages 4-6 (technical design to handover) can also be agreed dependent on the project.

  • Communication and consultations with communities and residents to prepare a brief.

  • Design of smaller scale ideas, planting and biodiversity enhancement.

  • Gardening days with communities and help in construction and planting.

  • Handover to the community with the possibility of continued involvement through regular visits, guidance, future phases and also a maintenance programme.
